I have only made a few cups of tea with this kettle, but I do love the form and function. I was a little disappointed in the color of the Blue (just a little). The Tea Kettle’s color of dark blue is not a vivid as pictured on the web site or even the actual box it came in. If you asked me someone color corrected the image to make the blue a little less gray. Is it a deal breaker breaker? No, not at all it is still a great teakettle. Just something I noticed. See my picture and judge for yourself, maybe my eye is too critical.

I searched quite a while to find a small kettle (less than 2 qts) that would work well over a gas stove. I originally had purchased one from a big box store, but I couldn’t go near the handle it was so hot when boiled, and within a week it showed signs of rust!I went with an “old fashioned” tea kettle as I’ll be using it quite a bit while camping (no electricity) over a propane stove. I’ve been using it at home the past several weeks over a gas stove and on the whole have been very pleased. To address the issues that worried me from prior reviews before I purchased it:Melting Spout – I’ve found because this is a small kettle, if I have the flame on high it can certainly lick up the sides of the kettle and I imagine this is why some people had issues with the spout cover melting. I only use this kettle on medium to medium low heat. I’d say it still boils very fast – not everything has to be on maximum. I know it’s habit to want to turn it up to high, but crank it back a bit!Dribbling spout – Other kettles will have a “fill line” inside them to show you how much to fill it. Because the interior of this kettle is black enamel, I do not see a fill line indicated. A manual kettle should always be filled to no higher than right below the spout. Yes, it will feel like the kettle is half empty! If you fill it more than this, it will spit and sputter at you. I haven’t actually measured how much water this is, but it easily fills my french press, plus enough to warm my coffee mug up in advance and even some left over.Pros:* Really nice size and appearance* Heats up to boil fast – don’t put over higher than medium heat if you have a gas stove!* Cleans very easily – easy to get in the opening* Trigger in the handle keeps you from having to flip a hot spout open.Cons:* Handle does get a bit hot – not as hot as other kettles I’ve had, and even a piece of paper towel is enough to wrap around it to make it comfortably cool. I wish they’d come up with a kettle with a heat proof handle!* Pours well, if fast. I wish it had a more precise pour spout, but that isn’t a complaint as it works well.On the whole, and certainly for the price, I’d highly recommend this kettle.

It is really beautiful and the whistle is loud. The only thing I didnt like as much is the fact that you must pour it really slow or else it drips down the spout and onto the floor as you pour.

Seems a nice kettle. The color is accurate in real life to what’s in the photo on amazon. I like that it’s got weight but not heavy, that it’s wide so using a gas stove on high keeps the flame under the kettle, and the squeezy handle works once you get used to it. The pour spout is a little low into the water if I’m being picky, this makes pouring a little less smooth than I’d like. But truthfully it’s a $15 pot for boiling water, so I’ll stop being a picky engineer. Seems just as good of quality and finish as the really expensive versions at Williams Sonoma would be. Works for us!

I can’t believe how many ways I am unhappy with the design of this teakettle. To get the lid off, you have to pull strongly on it and then you bang the fingers of your other hand that are holding the handle. So you have to be careful to not be gripping the handle while removing the lid. The whistle is a horrifying shriek. I know some people like it that way, but I have to put a chopstick under the spout lid to hold it partially open, preserving my hearing and sanity. You won’t believe how much water is spilled when trying to pour it into a cup. The water burbles up and goes everywhere except into the cup! Then it drips down the outside of the kettle when putting it back down. You can try to close the spout lid beforehand, but of course you are holding the kettle by the handle, which also raises the lid. Will be replacing this item soon.

We searched for a whistling kettle waaay longer than one should – however the mixed reviews around every kettle got us confused.Firstly, price was a factor. I wanted something that looked cool and for a while I was hung-up on a glass kettle. However, when my glass french press cracked on pouring hot water in it, I decided metal was the way to go. I did see that the price went down one day, suddenly, and I ordered it. Boy, have I been happy. The kettle is elegant looking, and does exactly what it is supposed to. When you fill it as prescribed (around 60-75%) and heat it – the whistle goes now well, with no spillage. Pouring is easy. It is easy to clean, and seems sturdy (been using it regularly for couple months now, no complains). While a lot of people want a steel or black colored one, the blue one did splash some color in my kitchen. All guns blazing (and kettles whistling) five.

Very nice teakettle. Function and quality we as expected. I was a little shocked with instructions saying all the cautions of using on a glass top stove, harm to kettle or stove top possible. I am not sure what to think about all that except we all live in the world or attorneys !! Very happy with the pot right now.

I like how this pot is wider rather than rounder. Usually it seems to me that the heat goes around the rounder pots and I have to put on a smaller burner just so. With this pot it is nice and wide and I can put on the bigger burner and it boils quickly even if watched.I did not expect the mechanism in the handle to open it when I squeeze, pleasant surprise.

This teakettle is exactly as the seller described. I had my doubts in the beginning of its construction, due to the low price. But upon receiving and inspecting the item, I could see it was well constructed and of good craftsmanship. I used it frequently and am very pleased w/ my purchase of this teakettle. I would recommend this teakettle to anyone looking for a compact sized, well-constructed, aesthetically pleasing, low cost teakettle that also comes in many colors.

While this kettle is charming in size, sound, and color, it has two notable flaws. 1) The water jumps out of the spout if you don’t let it cool a bit before pouring (see posted video by other owner); one way around this is to let the water settle before hand- that isn’t too bad if you’re set on the color or size. 2) However, I can’t seem to find a way around the dribbling. In short, the water dribbles down the spout when you pour. It’s quite annoying as it can get all over the counter and floor before you’ve even realized it.

It’s a good looking tea kettle, nice shape and nice color. However, when you boil water in it, it is impossible to use the handle without a dish rag or potholder because it gets so hot. I ordered a new tea kettle since my previous one had the same issue. The photo of this Circulon kettle made me think that the handle would not become hot when water is boiled in it – WRONG. Is there a tea kettle out that that can allow one to boil water and simply pour the hot water into a cup using the kettle’s handle or does every kettle require some hand protection for pouring?

This kettle is a perfect size for one or two people, I chose it as I had other Circulon products and have been very happy with them. Unfortunately I have the same issue some other here posted about, it dribbles water as you pour. The drips are coming from under the chrome trim ring on the spout. I am currently in the process of a warranty return.

I was looking for a dark blue tea kettle, but was not finding what I wanted in the stores. This is perfect. This holds about 6 cups and there is a fill line inside just below the spout. The lid has a tight seal on it, which is nice. The handle presses the spout up when the water is ready. It is porcelain and the color does not run (like some metallic kettles do). It does not feel heavy.

I bought this November 2017 and here it is August 2018. I hadn’t used it for a few months due to the hot weather but made a cup of tea today and noticed a “spot” on the outside. Turns out it wasn’t a spot, the enamel was eaten through to the metal and I have no clue how that happened. Ridiculous! Looks like my search for a decent tea kettle in blue begins again. Sigh.

I had no idea that there was a difference between a tea pot & a tea kettle. Last Christmas, I got a beautiful tea pot which was awful because I was using it as a tea kettle. It lost its color on the bottom (duh). I got this one for Christmas this year & love the color. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with the proper product.

The teapot itself is very nice but too small!!! You can only fill it to the pouring spout so it really isn’t truly 1-1/2 quarts. The worst part is the teakettle sells or $16.99 and they are charging me $7.99 to return it. That’s half the price of the item. That’s a rip off!!! Buyer beware!

Beautiful and works really well. It’ll drip a little on the counter while pouring out and that’s why I give a 4 star. It does not bother me as it’s only hot water (with ginger sometimes). But if it were a wooden table or something else laying on the counter – that would not be a good idea! So have to be careful. My sister returned it for the same reason.Easy to clean and heats up fast.

Pretty and well made. I was hesitant to buy because of some negative reviews. You have to hold the lever open when you pour and you have to commit to pouring—a small pour will cause you to spill a little. At least it’s just water, right? It is otherwise a great tea kettle. Be sure you are aware of the size- this is a small one but fine for making just a few cups at a time.

They forgot to insulate the “ENTIRE” handle, burned my hand first time I used. Have to use a spoon to take top off. This was a real mess purchase. Shame on me, I did not research product before I bought it

This teakettle is an excellent product. It is very quick and the whistle can be heard in the next room. I had a Revere kettle which I had bought to replace an older model Revere. The replacement had barely a whistle. This Circulon is very pretty, has a nice ceramic lining and is a welcome addition to my kitchen. Thank you Amazon for making this available.

Great quality, the enamel is thickly applied and shiny, unlike some other tea kettles I have viewed in stores that are thinly applied as if to have been sprayed on and wont last. This is made to last, the perfect size, not mini as some tea pots are .love the color(navy). This has always been a brand I trust.

It was difficult trying to find an effective as well as stylish teakettle, and I think this Circulon Sunrise definitely takes the cake. I absolutely love the color of this as well as the feel, but there are a couple things I have minor issue with.Out of the box, there is a heavy metal scent that goes away after 3 or 4 times of boiling and washing. This will affect the taste of whatever you are using it for (in my case tea) so be very sure to clean it thoroughly before use.The other thing is that the top opening is rather small and is more or less covered by the handle so it is awkward to fill it sometimes. Also, the spout sometimes spills droplets down when pouring out water, so be careful to pour boiling water over a solid surface.Other than that, it is a fine kettle and it does whistle and heat up water quickly. Pleased with this purchase.

If I can give a zero, I would.I bought this kettle on Nov. 26 2015; it is not even 7 months.I use it to boil water with the lowest heat 3/4 times a day. NEVER high heat.Within the first two weeks, the enamel around the spout chipped. In three months, enamel around the top opening chipped.TODAY, I noticed that MANY, MANY, little blue sands were in my boiled & cooled off water after I had drunk several cups of hot tea. When I poured my hot water, the sands came with it. I’ll take a test to find out much blue enamel I have drunk.

Cute, great navy color, perfect size for two burner stove on our boat. Quality is good but only problem is it leaks a little water from under pouring spout…maybe the little spout collar isn’t seated tightly. Might return it for another one. Otherwise it is great.

Very cute, not a bad size, but mine *doesn’t whistle*. I wanted it to let me know it was hot and boiling, but couldn’t hear it from the next room even with the door open. It was nearly dry when I went into the kitchen for something else.. No whistle, more of a low hiss.

I know nothing about teakettles that don’t plug into the wall, but my girlfriend really wanted an “old fashioned” teakettle that whistled when it was done. So, I got her this as a gift, and she loves it. It looks well made, and gets the job done.

Was worried when I read some of the reviews but this tea kettle has been perfect! I have had no problems with the way it pours. I have had it for two months and use it at least once a day. It hasn’t had any rusting. I just make sure to dump the extra water out after use! It is aesthetically pleasing and does the job to make my tea or hot water for french press.

This product is very dangerous. No matter what speed you pour at, hot water dribbles down the outside of the spout and onto the counter. There is a real danger of burning oneself and can only be used on a counter like granite. I bought it for safety rather than boiling water in a pot with which you cannot pour accurately and safely. The handle also gets somewhat hot. I own many Circulon pots and pans and love them. Maybe the spout on this one is defective I cannot see a problem.

This is a great kettle. I’ve had no problems with it dripping or spilling water as others have mentioned. I’m guessing those people simply filled it too full. Any kettle would probably have the same problem. My only complaint (and it’s a minor one) is that I ordered the navy blue color and, as others have pointed out, the color isn’t nearly as bright as it appears in the photos. Other than that, I’m a satisfied customer!

Nice little tea pot except you can’t pour hot water out of it at a reasonable rate without it dribbling all over the counter. Poor design is all I can figure and because of that it is a pain to use. Only positive is it looks nice on the stove. I would not have bought had I known. 🙁

This product doesn’t perform it’s core purpose. It spills water down the side of the spout when pouring. Leaving a large puddle of hot water whenever you use it. I bought it thinking it looked nice and could pour water, I was wrong. Buyer beware, it appears some don’t do this but is it worth the risk?

Good size and it’s easy to pour with the “opener” right in the handle. Would have given it a 5-star rating, but the top is a little hard to get off because there isn’t sufficient room between the top and the handle. Not a big problem, though.Oh, and I love the cobalt blue color.

It looks good, but how they designed the spout is off. Boiling water comes splashing out whenever I pour, no matter how little or much water is in the kettle and no matter how slowly or carefully I try to pour. Also, it’s just a little too small and turning off my gas stove on high is a waste of energy since the kettle doesn’t completely cover the flame. When it’s time for a new kettle I won’t be repurchasing this one.
