I never write reviews but this product deserves it. I have a small cast iron collection and wanted a way to store it. I was weary if it would hold the weight and fit my 12″ Lodge fryer skillet. It is quite deep. The fryer does fit on the bottom level but it is a snug fit. One I can live with, but just be aware it is is snug. As for weight, in the picture I have 12 skillets on it and I can remove the fryer (the one on the bottom) and not see any noticeable sagging. I would not hesitate to buy another one and may depending on how my wife wants to organize them.If you are on the fence about buying this one, don’t be it is a great product and handles the weight well.

Nice sturdy rack. Can be used upright or on it’s side. Makes organizing and access to different shaped pots, pans and cookware so much easier. (No lifting up one heavy pan to get to another). Sturdy enough for my cast iron Staub, Roomy enough for a variety of sizes and shapes, that wider slot is great for deeper items (or more plates).. Also perfect for lids, dishes, platters, cupcake tins, etc. Bought quite a few, using for items used often and in garage cabinets for more seasonal items,

Sturdy and heavy duty. I have several pieces of cast iron so I purchased two. I turned mine on their sides and it worked out great. Buying two more for my stainless skillets/pans.

A cheap Rubbermaid product. Nothing Extreme about this walmart quality item. I would suspect all the positive reviews came from people who was sent a free item for review. DO NOT BUY (unless you want to store doll house like pots and pans in it)

I’ve struggled with how to store my cast iron pans yet still have them easy to access and not look a mess. This fits the bill and wow does my counter look great now! I have it standing upright on the counter, and it fits easily under my upper cabinets. As shown in the seller’s photo, the Lodge LCC3 Cast Iron Combo Cooker, Pre-Seasoned, 3.2-Quart, aka chicken fryer, fits on the bottom tier – and what’s not shown is that the lid fits as well if you sit the fryer in it. I have the combo cooker, it’s lid, a 10″ dutch oven lid, 6 skillets of varying sizes, and a 8″ round griddle on the organizer, and it is very stable.I could have used one more tier as I didn’t have enough room for one more skillet (besides the dutch oven), but I can keep my second 10″ skillet on the stove. Or, if necessary, I could put it on the top tier and put the small skillets inside, but I would only do that temporarily just because I wouldn’t be able to see the small skillets.

The first one I ordered was very heavy duty and held my cast iron pans securely. Loved it so I ordered another. It came today and this one is so weak and flimsy that I vCannot use it. I will return it and hopefully I can find one like the first one.

This was in my recommendation list. I had been looking for something like this to accommodate my cast iron pans. I wanted to use it in a base cabinet without having to permanently attach. Was hoping this would work. While it is heavy duty it hasn’t worked quite like I needed as my tallest skillet which has to go in the taller bottom slot is not my heaviest skillet. When I put one of my other skillets in any of the other slots it tips them all over. My cabinet isn’t tall enough for me to put my taller skillet on the top. I put a shim under the rack to see if that would help but it didn’t. I think attaching it permanently would cause it to pull out of the shelf. So, my only alternative is to take my tallest skillet and remove it entirely from the organizer which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. My tallest skillet is a Lodge 8″ chicken fryer.

These worked great to stack my large collection of glass pans, from the smallest pyrex casserole to the largest pyrex size. I now can get to each piece without having to unstack each piece to get to the one I always needed that was on the bottom of the stack. I have two upright in my pantry and the other is sideways in the pantry for the heavier, longer pans, just because they fit into the pantry better that way in terms of being able to close the door. Either way, they hold the weight of the pan. I wish I could find a place in my kitchen where I could use it to stack my cast iron pans. That is what I originally got them for, but the rack was just a 1/2 too high to fit into my cupboard where the cast iron has to go, due to their size and weight. These things will outlast me, I am sure. They are very sturdy and well made and you can use the two screws that come with it to secure the rack to a wall or the bottom of a cupboard if you are so inclined to need to secure it that way.

It’s funny, I just wrote a 4-star review for the a device that hangs an Amazon Dot, grumbling a little about high prices for what amounts to a plastic rack for an early AI device. Yet here I am writing a 5-star review for what amounts to an expensive rack for hunks of inanimate metal. What gives? It’s because the hunks of metal this rack holds are very, very, very HEAVY, yet this thing shows no sign of tension or bending. Interestingly, we have about the exact same spread of pans as shown in the stock picture: number, size, everything. You still have to take leverage into account (meaning don’t stick your 15″ pizza pan on the top rack), but it is clearly going to hold for a long time. Whoever designed this thing definitely created it well.Bottom line: if you need better storage for your cast iron or other heavy pan/skillet collection, this is well worth your money.

I cook with cast iron very frequently and was looking for a better way to store my pans. This pan organizer is perfect for my needs. As you can see in the picture, I have six cast iron pans on this rack and it holds them beautifully. The rack is very strong and is not leaning or bending at all with all that weight on it and I did not use the included screws to anchor it in place. Prior to receiving this, I kept all my cast iron stacked in a cabinet and every time I wanted to use a pan I’d have to lift the whole stack. Now, I can just pull out the one I need. This really solved a problem for me.

I purchased this because it displayed heavy cast iron being supported apparently free-standing. I had my doubts, however, from the moment I received it. It seemed far too light weight to support cast iron. When I put my smallest skillet (5″) on the top rack, the rack bent forward and the skillet slid right off. It seems in order for this to work, you MUST secure it to something (it even comes with screws for that purpose), which is entirely impractical in my kitchen. Thus, while the rack itself may be “no assembly required” the installation most definitely is not. If you want to use this as a free-standing rack for anything heavier than the lightest aluminum, be prepared to lay it on it’s back.

I started to buy something slightly cheaper, but the quality of this product (along with a small coupon) finally caused me to plunk down the extra money for this product instead. I’m glad I did! There’s nothing like getting something in, ripping off the plastic, plunking it down on your counter and it just WORKS without any fiddling with it. Worth every penny for my lack of aggravation. It’s holding some really heaving pans and not even breaking a sweat or feeling unwieldy under it’s load.

The organizer isn’t made of cast iron but it is certainly solidly constructed enough to support my cast iron. It isn’t bending or shifting due to the weight of my pans. I am thrilled with it. I have it sitting on my countertop next to my stove and I think that it looks both organized and functional. I am happy to get my cast iron out of the cabinet so that I can stop worrying about the weight on my cabinet shelf and also the transfer of the cast iron oil seasoning onto the cabinet itself.

Works great for our Copper Chef pans… No damage from stacking on top of each other, very heavy duty..

Just as described. Heavy duty. My cabinet space is awkward. The designer was an idiot but I was, able to juggle the space to make it work. This senior citizen is very grateful to have a most useable solution to fighting with my pots and pans. Had to put it upright and against the left wall of cabinet to make it work but that’s what is great. It can be maneuvered to work and is heavy enough that it won’t need to be screwed to wall of cabinet.

Perfect! Just what I needed. I don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these. For years we struggled with getting the big pans in and out from underneath the stove. Sometimes not getting them out just because it was too hard! Then one day I thought, Hey, I wish there could be something like a filing system for pans. I originally thought I was going to use this with the pans standing vertically but they actually fit better horizontally as in the photo. Who knew!

Love this! I’ve been stacking my cast iron pans for years but it’s a lot of trouble to unstack them to reach the ones near the bottom (they are heavy!). Now I have my 10″ deep pan on the bottom of the organizer (it leaves a little extra room to accommodate the extra height), my 10″, 8″, and 6″ on the next shelves and would have room for another on top if my shelf was tall enough for it. No worries about it bending or tipping, and it’s so nice to be able to get to the pan I need without having to move all of the others. Highly recommended for other cast iron fanatics!

Let me begin with why I bought this and eagerly looked forward to using it. It seems like a wonderful idea for storing iron pans and skillets. But it is NOT. Wish I would have gotten around to returning it before my return window closed on February 8. I certainly will not be using it for pans or anything else. It will go out to the garage with the collection of other poorly-engineered gadgets that couldn’t be returned. The construction of this organizer allows pans to slide off of every level except the bottom. I had a skillet slide off the third shelf up, crashing to the floor with a path of broken destruction on its way to the floor. Could Quality Control have checked this product and suggested that the shelves have a slight tilt upward so pans cannot slide off at will? Do not buy this item especially if you have small children or animals as it is a danger to their safety. Wish I had listened to negative reviews that had been written about this product before. I used to keep my cast iron skillets in the drawer under my oven. It was a pain to get one out, because I had to lift them all out. This product is perfect to keep them at reach, very handy, and separated. It is very durable, has a nice finish on it, and is VERY sturdy! It was worth the price, and I would recommend it to anyone that wants to keep their cast iron skillets handy!***My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to make one to hold my 4 quart and 6 quart Dutch oven pots!

WORKS GREAT FOR MY CAST IRON PANS. I COULD USE ANOTHER ONE, BUT I MADE DO WITH THE ONE I HAVE. MADE WITH STURDY METAL AND CAN TAKE THE WEIGHT OF MY SKILLETS. WHEN I FIRST STARTED LOADING IT, MY SKILLETS WOULD SLIDE RIGHT OUT ONTO THE FLOOR. WHAT I HAD TO DO WAS PROP THE FRONTSIDE WITH A ROLLED-UP TOWEL UNDER THE BOTTOM BAR. WORKED PERFECTLY! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS STAND TO ANYONE WITH HEAVY COOKWARE.

I’ve had this product on my counter for 4 months, This is an absolutely quality product! ALL I cook with is cast iron, I threw all the other junk out long ago. Unfortunately I was having clutter problems on my stove and this product has remedied that issue. It’s held up to the heavy 10″ lodge pans and the Dutch oven and the little 8″ers, I can’t recommend this organizer enough!Oh! and do yourself a favor, pickup a second one so you can use it as a lid organizer, it’s a must!

Very nice and very sturdy pot rack. It could easily store any pot, including cast iron. It is not adjustable and didn’t fit my pans so I returned it. No problems with the return or refund, but be aware the seller charges almost $9 return shipping, but you can get a UPS or USPS label and one of the options is for UPS pick up at no extra charge.

I wanted something that I could just set on the shelf for my heavy cast iron. This item did not work for my needs as the cast iron slipped right off. However, had I used the provided screws to secure the item to a wall this would have prevented the issue. I wanted a free moving/standing unit for my cast iron. I didn’t want something that I had to secure to a wall. Didn’t work for my needs, but does work if you secure. I returned.

We’ve had a pile of five or six cast iron pots and pans next to the stove for years. I use them too often to put them out of reach, but they take up a lot of space and they’re heavy and awkward to move when I need the one on the bottom. This rack solved all the problems. It’s sturdy enough to hold everything, keeps them separated to avoid scratching the seasoning and loads and unloads easily. I can’t think of a way to improve it.

This gadget has made putting away my frying pans after washing them so much easier. Before I got this nobody in my house would take the time to put the frying pans back right. (Lifting one up to put the larger one on the bottom) highly recommended this. It is sturdy and heavy enough to hold my cast iron pans

cast iron skillets are heavy so to be honest I had my doubts about this pan organizer, but it works great. I have a 12 inch, two 10 inch, and a divided 8 inch all stacked up and it doesn’t wobble or show any signs of bending or tilting. Very sturdy and well made and so much better than stacking them on top of each other. It was a pain to have to move all the top pans to get to the one wanted.

Really wanted this to work. We must have heavier than normal pans (all clad fry pans) because this thing was wobbly and fell over almost immediately. Wouldn’t hold them — it was front heavy and just tipped like crazy. Our drawer is a pull-out so we can’t anchor it to the back. Bummer!

I really love this thing. Before we had a cabinet of stacked pots and pans and the lids were always falling and sliding. I put two of these holders in the cabinet, one for pans and one for lids. They are great!!! I wish I would have done it 6 months ago! They are extremely sturdy and have made my cabinet super organized and it no longer looks liken unorganized a pile.

Very sturdy. I have two larger pans that were a challenge for a different pan rack to hold. That rack was adjustable in height – and the shelves “bounced” and “sagged”. This pan rack has very little give and I am confident when I remove a pan that the rack will not fall over. A very nice solution for cookware storage in a cabinet without any forethought into storage design.

This is a sturdy piece, but a bit awkward figuring out how it was going to fit in my cabinet. I ending up putting it horizontally, which is fine. But don’t forget to figure the length of your handles in your measurements. I really like it because I have a few cast iron skillets, and they were really heavy when stacked up. This way I only have to lift out the one I want.

Extreme Matters Heavy Duty Pan Organizer – Bottom Tier 1 Inch Taller for Larger Pans – No Assembly Required – BlackSufficiently solid for most pans. Storage organizer can be stood vertically or horizontally. The static spacing between tiers was not an issue but if the organizer was adjustable I could make it fit better in my cupboard. I purchased two organizers at $20 each. For the price it was a good investment.

This is my Favorite Kitchen product because it steadily and securely holds multiple types of really heavy cast iron cookware without tipping, rocking, or unsteady tipping. I have 5 cast iron skillets from size 10-5. I really like the the rack, however with that much weight you should use the mounting hardware to secure the rack to the cabinet floor. It will tilt or spill the skillets otherwise. I have a second set of carbon steel skillets that I bought a second rack for and it works great without using the mounting hardware. Solid buy – great organizational tool and space saver.

This Heavy Duty Pan holder is exactly what it promised to be. I have loaded it up with iron skillets in addition to the regular pans. I ordered this organizer to display and store my cast iron pans on my counter near my stove. I was skeptical that it would be sturdy enough for the weight of all five pans without leaning, but it works perfectly! I now have ready access to my pans instead of having to bend over and dig through the cabinet. The painted finish is high quality and hasn’t shown any wear from sliding the heavy skillets in and out. I am very happy and satisfied with this purchase.

The pan organizer was just what I needed. it makes grabbing a pan from the bottom cabinets so much easier than trying to dig down to find the right pan in the pile. It’s working great so far. One small thing I’d change if I could-make the “shelves” just an inch or two longer.

I see it has worked well for most. I had a huge 15 inch cast iron pan on the bottom and then from the bottom up added from largest to smallest thinking that if we took a pan out that it would stay stable. My husband pulled a pan out form the middle and the pans on top toppled and landed right on his foot. I may use this for smaller lighter pans.

I am amazed by this rack and how much weight it can hold. I put four iron skillets and a no stick frying pan in it and this rack holds all easily. It isn’t flimsy at all and the pans come in and out very easily. Because there’s space between the pans, the non stick doesn’t get scratched by the others. My kitchen is small this is a great space saver for me. Highly recommended!

Works as promised. Absolutely delighted to have that mess of pans cleaned up! We have too many pans of different weights and sizes, from cast iron to a large non-stick. This leads to an unbalanced organizer and the need to actually stack one pan directly on the other. Had a few upsets, but worked it out satisfactorily. ‘Tis far, far better than it’s ever been.

This rack is absolutely wonderful for keeping all of my cast iron organized. I keep mine right under my cabinets right next to my stove to keep everything accessible, but al so out of the way. The rack is extremely sturdy and well balanced. you can have a heavy pan on the top and not have to worry about the rack tipping over even without the included mounting hardware. The only negative thing I have to say is that there could be more padding on the bottom to keep the metal from rubbing on countertops. This was an easy enough fix by adding two little felt pads to the bottom.
